Your drives stay on your phone.
Summary
TR1P has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything the app records is stored only on your iPhone. We don't run servers that receive your data, and we never sell or share it.
What the app records
- Location, including in the background if you allow "Always" access. It's used to detect drives and record their routes.
- Motion & Fitness activity, used to confirm you're in a car before a trip starts.
- Trip details: route, start and end points, times, distance, and time saved or added.
- Profile details you choose to add: a display name and an optional photo.
- Settings such as distance units and notification preferences.
All of this is stored on your device. None of it is sent to us.
Apple services
To score a finished trip and name its location, TR1P sends the trip's start and end coordinates to Apple's MapKit directions and geocoding services. Apple handles these requests under the Apple Privacy Policy. No other third parties, SDKs, or AI services receive your data.
How it's used
Only to show your trips and stats in the app and to send the trip notifications you've allowed. We don't use it for advertising, profiling, or tracking across apps or websites.
Permissions and consent
Location, Motion & Fitness, and Notifications are each requested with an explanation. You can withdraw any of them at any time in iOS Settings > TR1P, and turn off background tracking in the app's Settings.
Retention and deletion
Data stays on your device until you delete it. Delete one trip from its options menu, or everything (trips, name, and photo) from Settings > Data > Delete all data. Deleting the app removes all of its data. You can also export your trips to CSV from Settings.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive only what you send (your email address and message), and use it only to reply. You can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
Children
TR1P is intended for licensed drivers and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above.
